Well done, Louise. How long will it take for scientific societies to realize that appeasing this regime will not work? No amount of ass kissing will render tRump and his acolytes friendly to the scientific enterprise. The time for “balls to the wall” opposition to regime policies has arrived.

I’m working on an article based on 10 cases across different institutions (anonymized, of course). Different situations, same types of mistakes showing up. One thing I find particularly interesting is not just the compliance but the *extent* of the compliance and how, in some cases (in universities in particular), the enforcement of objectively inexplicable policies is being done in a way that the institution itself appears to be willingly taking ownership of it and supporting it, despite wild disconnect between the new policy/procedures & previously stated institutional values.

I look forward to seeing that article!
